Solo female travelers have a plethora of information and advice available to them through a simple online search. But what about those single ladies looking to move somewhere new rather than simply passing through?

Lessons are learned every day – or at least they should be. Whether positive or negative, life is full of daily experiences that change us and affect us. Living on an island in the Caribbean for two years has taught me many valuable lessons I may not have learned living Stateside. The traditional 9-5 office job isn’t your only option. Did you know that? Sure, it works for plenty of people. In at 9 a.m., out the door as the bells chime 5p.m., lather, rinse, repeat. Monday through Friday, 52 weeks per year for 40 years or more. It works for plenty of people.

If you are not in that group of plenty, fear not. Your options are endless! Here are just a few of the amazing alternatives to the traditional cubicle life that you can take with you anywhere in the world. After all, if you love what you do, you’ll conquer more obstacles and motivate yourself more for a longer period of time. Happy travels and happy days!

It’s Official: I’m a HuffPo Blogger

I’ve mentioned that I have a few really fun things I’ve been working on in addition to my day job and this blog. One of them was getting set-up as a Huffington Post Blogger. I decided I read enough of their posts (constantly) to warrant contacting them about writing for them, so I sent off a quick email and presto change-o they set me up with my own account. Cool!

You can check out my first post now to see how easy it is to start traveling. Feel free to comment and share from there – spread the love! And seriously, people. Stop planning so much all the time. It’s just not necessary.
