how to donate hair

Donating hair to Locks of Love was kind of a routine for me years ago. I donated twice in four years back in my teenage years and then a third time as a young professional. But it’s been many moons since then, so it’s high time I do it again.

Women in Travel Summit WITS logo

I recently spent a week in Portland, Maine, at the Women in Travel Summit (WITS) travel conference. To say I felt right at home would be a complete understatement! This time around, I offer no excuses.

International Charity Day for Expats

Today is International Charity Day, as established by the United Nations in 2013 in honor of Mother Teresa. I’ve already discussed how expats tend to get involved in their local communities around the world, but perhaps it’s time to revisit the topic. Charity is important everywhere, but getting involved has several specific benefits for expats in particular.

Traveling ignites something in the soul – there’s no denying that. Every new experience, every new place explored, and every cultural barrier knocked down brings about a change in our perspectives and in the very way we live our lives.

Travel inspires us to do more and to be more. Travel unites us.
