Take a Walk With Us!

Roatan rescue dog

Every dog loves a morning walk through the neighborhood, right? Well mine is a little bit lazy, but she still enjoys a short mosey at snail’s pace. The best part about a slow mosey is that you don’t miss anything…not the sweet scent of springtime flowers, not the scurrying little lizards trying to camouflage themselves, not the dainty butterflies fluttering around. And of course, a slow mosey also allows plenty of time to cavort with your neighborhood friends!

Come take a walk through the neighborhood with us!

Our first stop is to say good morning to our friends just around the corner.

And then we cross the street to say hello to Diego!

Our friends usually hang out on the hill while we continue to the main road to smell all the pretty flowers hanging along the way.

We have to stop to see what the scurrying is all about, and we’re usually rewarded with a cute little lizard pausing to say hello, just like this guy!

On our way home, we stop to say hello to our friend on the hill.

He’s a cutey!

And sometimes our old friends come back to hang out again. And to claim more territory. (Lina thinks he’s rude and I don’t think our resident puppy appreciates it much either.)

Roatan-goodbye

“Bye, friend! See you tomorrow!”

Roatan_cows

We take a minute to sit and watch the cows munching on some grass in front of the neighbors’ houses. And we thank them for not pooping all over our yard this morning. This one’s checking us out as well.

“Bye, cows! Buen provecho!”

And we finally head home, watching all the butterflies flutter around us and checking for more scurrying lizards along the way.

Thanks for taking a walk with us today! It’s another beautiful day in the neighborhood; I’m sure Mr. Rogers would be pleased.
